Fondazione Memmo e Gasworks sono lieti di annunciare che Alice Visentin (1993, Torino, Italia) sarà in residenza a Gasworks, a Londra, nella prima parte del 2024, nell’ambito della borsa per artiste e artisti residenti in Italia sostenuta dalla Fondazione Memmo.
Nelle sue opere pittoriche, nei disegni, nelle proiezioni e immagini in movimento, Alice Visentin esplora l’infinito regno dell’immaginazione, svelando il potenziale di creare nuove esperienze attraverso le connessioni con altre persone. Figure, parole e colori diventano strumenti per trasformare i significati delle cose, intrecciando temporalità diverse e dando così forma alla realtà.
Durante la sua residenza presso Gasworks, Visentin condurrà una ricerca negli archivi, collaborando con ricercatrici e ricercatori impegnati nell’approfondimento di storie orali. Nel suo studio, intreccerà i materiali raccolti in vocabolari creativi innovativi e sperimentali.
Fondazione Memmo and Gasworks are thrilled to announce that Alice Visentin (b. 1993, Turin, Italy) will undertake a residency for Italian artists at Gasworks in 2024. The residency is supported by Fondazione Memmo.
In her paintings, drawings, projections, and moving images, Alice Visentin explores the boundless realm of imagination. She reveals the potential to create new experiences through connections with others. Figures, words, and colors become tools to transform the meanings of things, weaving together diverse temporalities and experiences, thus shaping reality.
During her residency at Gasworks, Visentin will conduct research in archives, collaborating with academics engaged in the exploration of oral histories. In her studio, she will weave the collected materials into innovative and experimental creative vocabularies.
