The new call for the Biennale College Internship for the period January – May 2024 is now online.

A learning experience on the field, organized as a curriculum-required internship for undergraduate or graduate students who wish to enrich their training in the fields of organization, management, administration, technical support, editorial work, communication, etc., in other words, the work that is done every day within the organizational structure of La Biennale di Venezia.

Just like a “College” experience, the young people selected for the internship will be supervised individually in their training, stimulated and encouraged to seek the greatest benefit from the moment they arrive to the last day of their internship, which will also include social events designed to share experiences and create an active community.

The call for applications is reserved for under 30 university students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme of a University based in Italy.

Deadline for applications: 9 January 2024.

Only one application per student may be submitted: applicants must therefore choose only one internship per term.

Area – Visual Art
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 22 January 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist and support the activities for the preparation, organization and realization of the 60th International Art Exhibition and sections (Main Exhibition, National Participations, Collateral Events); to assist and support the activities during the pre-opening days.

Area – Educational and Promotion
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 26 February 2024 to 31 May 2024
Educational goals: to assist in the development of a web-marketing and promotion plan for the 60th International Art Exhibition

Area – Special Projects
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 1 January 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist and support the design process for the functional renovation and maintenance of buildings used for the purposes of Biennale exhibitions and performances.

Area – Engineering and Logistics Services
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 1 February 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist the technical coordination team of the exhibition project of the 60th International Art Exhibition (assistance to the construction phase for the realisation of the exhibition)

Area – Protocol
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 22 January 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist in the ceremonial activities and in the organization of institutional initiatives for the 60th International Art Exhibition and the pre-opening days.

Area – Visual Design and Social Media Communication
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 1 February 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist in the ideation, creation and development of creative graphic design, signage, and architectural graphics, as well as social communication for social media projects.

Area – Editorial work, Publications and Web
Length of internship: 3 months
Period: from 1 February 2024 to 30 April 2024
Educational goals: to assist in editing: copy editing, proofreading with the purpose of monitoring the various phases in the development of printed and digital publications; to assist in the implementation of the Web Site, development and practice of the systems, development and practice of digital image management; to assist in social network editing.

Area – Press Office Visual Art
Length of internship: 3.5 months
Period: from 22 January 2024 to 10 May 2024
Educational goals: participation in the communication plan for the 60th International Art Exhibition and assistance in the activities scheduled for the opening phases of the Exhibition: drafting press review, text editing, editing of photography, preparation of information materials (press releases, press kit, pre-opening days agenda, interview agenda)

Area – Archives / Library
Length of internship: 6 months
Period: from 1 February 2024 to 31 July 2024
Educational goals: to assist the organization of the activities of the Centro Internazionale della Ricerca sulle Arti Contemporanee of the Archive (to support the coordination of the research groups and the organization of the conference days that will be held in the Library), to assist in inventory, securing, reorganization cataloguing and digitization processes for the archives, storage facilities and collections and to assist in the library project to research articles, essays, excerpts and other contributions in periodical and non-fiction publications.
