Illustrating the Grand Paris
An international call for projects is being launched for the creation of perennial frescos on the platforms of the Grand Paris Express train stations: one artist per train station will be entrusted with illustrations representing the served territory and will participate in this way in the development of the Grand Paris’ artistic heritage for decades to come.
30 initial train stations are concerned by this first call for applications, open to professional artists and authors from the fields of comics, illustration, animation and graphic design. In order to enable the laureates to better discover the territory allocated to them and to perfect their project, an on-site five-day residency will be programmed.
The commission is based on a total surface of almost 50 sqm per train station, spread out on several formats per train station, for 120 train station platforms of the Grand Paris Express.
Applicants must submit a single application to be filed only on the https://www.marches-publics.gouv.fr/app.php/consultation/707732?orgAcronyme=s2d platform. The applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for the whole set of train stations.
