
Mente Locale – Visioni sul territorio
Mente Locale – Visioni sul territorio, organised by CARTA | BIANCA, is the first Italian festival aiming to promote and enhance the narration of territories through audio-visual media. The screening of the movies selected for the competition Mente Locale – Visioni sul territorio Festival will take place from 17th to 21st November 2021 and the winners of the competition will be announced on November 21st.
The competition is reserved to Italian and international documentaries with no distinction of duration, techniques, format, as long as they focus on the narration of a territory, considered a narration of sites, people, organisations, knowledge and traditions linked to a particular place or geographical area. Works that have been completed from 2019 up to now can be accepted to the competition.
Mente Locale – Global Vision
Mente Locale is open to works and authors from all over the world. It provides an award of Euro 2.000,00 for the best documentary and an award of Euro 1.000,00 for the best documentary produced in Italy. A cash prize of Euro 500,00 for a work of the competition is provided by Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano, partner of festival Mente locale. The prize Sayonara, provided by the company Sayonara Film, to the best short documentary, which consists of a 12-month distribution contract worth Euro 2,000.00.
Mente Locale – Visions of the Italian territory
Section of works that narrates the italian territory. Within this section, Touring Club Italiano – historical association that has created the notion of tourism in Italy, partner of the Festival since 2016 – confirms also for this edition a special mention dedicated to the best work focused on the narration of the Italian territory with the aim of dissemination, enhancement and/or touristic promotion of the cultural heritage.
